[Master] Presentation of elective modules

Dear students,

as announced, the presentation of the elective modules will take place next Wednesday (25.01.) from 18-20 h (s.t.). We will start at 6 pm with the presentation of the seminars. From 7 pm we will continue with the project seminars. At the beginning, I will start with a general info block.

In the following interactive Hedge-Doc Pad you will already find all information about the seminars and project seminars in the upcoming summer semester. Please use the coming days before the presentation date to inform yourself intensively about the offers and to ask questions via the pad. In the evening itself, the time slots are very tight.

[Bachelor] Vorstellung Wahlpflichtmodule

Liebe Studierende,

wie angekündigt, findet am kommenden Montag (23.01.) von 18-20 Uhr (s.t.) die Vorstellung der Wahlpflichtmodule statt. Wir beginnen um 18 Uhr mit der Vorstellung der Vertiefungsmodule. Ab 19 Uhr geht es dann weiter mit den Projektseminaren. Zu Beginn starte ich jeweils mit einem allgemeinen Infoblock.

[Master] Presentation of Electives

The Master modules will be presented on Wednesday January 25th at 6-8 pm (s.t.) via Zoom (link follows). After the presentation the application phase will start. Information on this will also be provided during the presentation.

[Bachelor] Vorstellungen der Wahlpflichtmodule

Hallo zusammen und ein frohes neues Jahr,

[Bachelor] Special offer for Summer Term 2023: Specialization Module (Vertiefungsmodul) Design Thinking with trip to the US – Apply now!

Dear students,

As an early present, Dr. Katrin Bergener and Dr. Armin Stein received funding for eight students for a ten day trip to the University of West Georgia and the Georgia University College (USA) end of June / beginning of July 2023! The trip will be part of a Specialization Module (Vertiefungsmodul WI) about Design Thinking (SMDT). In the US, students will work with US students on a real-life Design Thinking challenge of an international company.

Students interested in this Specialization Module must apply for it until January 15^th -- not via the normal application process! All information about the SMDT, as well as the link to the registration form, can be found here:

An application phase will follow during the last two weeks of lecture time and will be announced separately in the Coordinator's Blog.

Note that participation in this survey is a neccessary condition. That means: if during application phase a larger number of applications shows up compared to the numbers given by this survey and, due to this underestimation of capacity there are too few places in offered seminars/project seminars, then students with an application but without participation in the survey risk to be disregarded. On the other side during application phase, applications of students who have participated in this survey will usually be considered.

A word to Bachelor students who change to the Master-programm next semester (and might have changed their status here in WI-coord, to see information concerning Master studies): Assignments to seminars and project seminars taking part in your first Master semester will not be possible in general. There are plenty of lectures intended, e.g. for the first semester, hence there is no need for a seminar/project seminar during your 1st Master semester.
