This blog displays only selected content out of the Learnweb-course „Study Coordination Information Systems“. We strongly suggest all students to enroll for the aforementioned course on Learnweb in order to stay up-to-date regarding all study-related information issued by the Department of Information Systems.

Please enroll with your individual key to make sure that you get updates that are relevant to your progress in your studies. The key is created by prefixing "is" (without quotes) to the year in which you started the master's programme. 
Example: Your first semester is/was the winter term of 2017/18. Then your individual enrolment key is "is2017" (without quotes).

[Bachelor] Deadline Bewerbung für den Master

Die Bewerbungsfrist für Bachelor-Studierende, die in den Master wechseln möchten ist traditionell der 15. Juli. Durch die Corona-Situation wurde entschieden diese bis zum 20. August zu verlängern. Bewerbungen, die bis zum 15. Juli eingegangen sind, werden aber schon einmal in einem ersten Treffen der Auswahlkommission gesichtet. Wir hoffen, dass wir dann bereits erste Zulassungen ausprechen können.

Wer in diesem ersten Durchgang dabei sein möchte, sollte alle Bewerbungsunterlagen online bis zum 15. Juli über das Bewerbungsportal einreichen. Infos zu den Unterlagen und der Link zum Portal sind hier zu finden.

Bewerben kann sich jeder Bachelor-Studierende, der zum Bewerbungszeitpunkt min. 140 Credits aus dem Bachelor vorweisen kann. Bis zur Einschreibung muss der vollständige Abschluss natürlich vorliegen. Da es mitunter schwierig ist in Corona-Zeiten einen englischen Sprachtest zu machen, hier noch der Hinweis, dass in diesem Jahr der TOEFL Special Home Edition akzeptiert wird. Außerdem hat unser Sprachenzentrum angepasste Regelungen. Infos dazu sind hier zu finden: https://spz.uni-muenster.de/sprachzeugnisse

[Master] Presentation of electives (project seminars + seminars)

On Tuesday, 30.06.2020, the elective modules in the Master's degree (project seminars and seminars) to e offered in the winter semester 2020/21 will be presented. These are open to all students of the IS Master program. All students interested in doing electives next semester have to go through the described process.

The presentation will be different this time:

  •     On Tuesday there will be a short presentation of the lecturers via zoom.
  •     Information material (videos, texts, slides) about the offerings can already be accessed now.

[Bachelor] Vorstellung der Wahlpflichtmodule

Am Montag, 29.06.2020, werden die Wahlpflichtmodule im Bachelor (Projektseminare und Vertiefungsmodule) vorgestellt, die im Wintersemester 2020 angeboten werden. Diese stehen allen Studierenden der WI offen, die mit Abschluss des jetzigen Sommersemesters alle Leistungen aus dem ersten Studienjahr erbracht haben werden. Bei der Vorstellung der Vertiefungsmodule wird auch auf Möglichkeiten der Integration von Praktika eingegangen.

Die Vorstellung wird dieses Mal anders ablaufen:

  • Am Montag wird es eine Kurzpräsentation der Dozenten via Zoom geben.
  • Bereits jetzt können Informationsmaterialien (Videos, Texte, Folien) zu den Wahlmöglichkeiten eingesehen werden.
Zugangsdaten und Erklärungen sind ab jetzt auf Learnweb einsehbar.

[Master]Save the date, presentation of electives

On Tuesday, 30.06.2020, the elective modules in the Master's program (project seminars and seminars) will be presented, which will be offered in the winter semester 2020.

The presentation will be somewhat different this year:

  •  From Friday, 26.06.2020, detailed information on the elective modules will be published online (location to be announced). There will be an opportunity to submit and collect questions on individual electives.
  •  On Tuesday, 30.06.2020, there will be a short presentation of the elective modules by the lecturers via zoom (link to follow). This will take place between 18-20 o'clock (schedule will follow). On this occasion the questions formulated before will be answered.
  • From this time on, the application for and allocation of seminar places will again be done via the seminar management tool. This will be explained in more detail on Tuesday.

[Bachelor] Save the date, presentation of electives

Am Montag, 29.06.2020, werden die Wahlpflichtmodule im Bachelor (Projektseminare und Vertiefungsmodule) vorgestellt, die im Wintersemester 2020 angeboten werden. Wahlpflichtmodule sind laut Studienverlaufsplan erst im 6. Semester angesiedelt. Sie dürfen allerdings bereits belegt werden, sobald alle Leistungen des ersten Studienjahres (1.+2. Semester) erbracht worden sind.

Die Veranstaltung wird in diesem Jahr etwas anders ablaufen:

  • Ab Freitag, 26.06.2020, werden ausführliche Informationen zu den Wahlpflichtmodulen online veröffentlich (Ort wird noch bekanntgegeben). Es wird die Möglichkeit geben dazu Fragen zu formulieren und zu sammeln.
  • Am Montag, 29.06.2020, wird es dann eine Kurzpräsentation der Wahlpflichtmodule durch die Dozenten via Zoom geben (Link folgt noch). Diese findet ungefähr im Zeitraum 18-20 Uhr statt (Zeitplan folgt noch). Bei dieser Gelegenheit werden insbesondere die vorher formulierten Fragen beantwortet.
  • Ab diesem Zeitpunkt erfolgt die Bewerbung um und Vergabe von Seminarplätzen wieder über das Seminarmanagementtool. Dies wird aber am Montagstermin noch eimal genauer erläutert.
