The 19th International Conference on Information Systems took place at the University of Würzburg from September 16 to 19 this year. The conference is the most important event in Information Systems in the German-speaking world and offers scientists, entrepreneurs, and young professionals the opportunity to learn about current research and enables an exchange between research and practice.

For organizations to maximise the benefits of artificial intelligence (AI), they must be able to scale AI throughout their organisation. Scaling must be considered in all phases of an AI innovation project. However, scaling AI poses significant challenges, especially in manufacturing companies.

Stanford University recently published its October 2023 updated list of the 2% most cited scientists in various disciplines, the World's Top 2% Scientists.

The ranking is based on bibliometric information from the Scopus database and includes more than 180 000 researchers from the more than 8 million scientists considered active worldwide, covering 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields.

Today we had the pleasure to welcome our first guest speaker, Dr. Oliver Joeres from Hilti in our Businessprocessmanagement lecture.

Hilti is one of the leading suppliers of products for the construction industry and the professional end user in this field.

Zoe further received the Hilti Group Most Innovative Master Thesis Award, for her work on “How companies strategically deal with continuous change”.

I am absolutely delighted that both, Zoe and Mara, will start a PhD in my team at the University of Münster and that we will continue our great cooperation across countries and sectors in the ERCIS network.
