    Daniel Beckmann

BBHT Beratungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG, Senior Advisor, HR Manager, Partner

    What do you do?

As a consultant, I work with our clients to plan their IT strategy and I support them in the implementation phase, for example by taking on the project management or business analysis. I am also responsible at BBHT for the HR Department and I make sure that each employee can forge their own individual career path.

How did your studies prepare you for this work?

I see my degree as a “knowledge bank” that is always there, that I can always draw from in my work. This background knowledge gives me a common language that I share with my colleagues, allowing me to quickly familiarise myself with various topics.

What advice would you give to our current students?

Talking as an employer, it’s very helpful for students if they’ve already demonstrated their commitment in the company and gathered practical experience there during their period of study. So in addition to studying, I see internships at companies and stays abroad as a way of standing out – these can even be a unique selling point.
