Lunchtime Seminar - The ERCIS Network – Past, Present, and Future

Tuesday, 30. May 2017 - 12:00 to Monday, 2. December 2024 - 15:30, Leo 18

Speaker: Dr. Armin Stein

Titel: „The ERCIS Network – Past, Present, and Future“

Abstract:

The European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS) is somehow omnipresent in the Department’s day-to-day life. There are banners at the buildings, people drink their beverages from ERCIS cups, and the slide master is well-known to everyone. In this talk, Armin will provide an overview about the past of the network, its current state, and its potential future. As you are most probably a member of the network without even knowing, the talk is intended to make you aware of the idea behind the network and should stimulate a discussion on how we all can contribute and benefit from it.

Bio:

Armin Stein works for the ERCIS Network as Managing Director since 2010. Before that, he studied Information Systems in Muenster, worked in the Tourism Sector for some years, and finished his PhD at the Chair of IS and Information Management. Together with Katrin Bergener and Miriam Epke he tries to add the “liveliness” to the network. Aside from his managerial tasks, Armin likes to talk (to partners, other researchers and networkers), teach (IS Introductory Course, Project Seminars), travel (visit partners, organize events), code (PHP, to be specific; sorry, for me that’s “coding”, you might have a different opinion), and play soccer (for private leisure and ZSK ERCIS).
