German Amercian Conference (GAC)
The European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS) is offering students from the School of Business and Economics at the University of Münster the opportunity to attend the German American Conference (GAC) at Harvard University from November 15-17, 2024, in Cambridge, MA.
The GAC is the largest student-run conference, fostering connections among transatlantic leaders in business, politics, and academia. It's a platform for dialogue on crucial societal topics such as the impacts of technology, business, politics, and sustainability. Last year's event at the Harvard Kennedy School provided an intimate setting for engaging discussions with influential speakers and like-minded peers, and we're confident this year's lineup will be just as compelling.
ERCIS is proud to offer travel support for five students, providing up to 750€ per person to cover costs such as flights, accommodation, and conference tickets. While this may not cover all expenses in pricey Boston, it aims to make participation feasible for all.
Who can apply? Any registered student (over 21 for US reasons, and minimum 3rd semester) at the School of Business and Economics, University of Münster, from Bachelor to Ph.D. level, is encouraged to apply. We particularly welcome applications from underrepresented groups.
How to apply? Submit your CV, grade certificates, and a brief 2-minute video addressing the following questions:
- How would you benefit from attending GAC 2024?
- How would GAC benefit from having you?
- What's your transatlantic story, and why are you interested in transatlantic relationships?
- How would ERCIS benefit from having you there?
Submit the files via Google Form by June 20, 2024.
Feedback on applications will be provided by mid-July 2024, followed by a brief meeting to discuss conference details.
