Top ratings for our bachelor's degree program in the CHE ranking

Information Systems program at the University of Münster receives top scores in ranking

Our Bachelor's degree program in Information Systems receives excellent ratings in the current university ranking of the "Centre for Higher Education Development"(CHE) and is thereby among the top ranked studies in Germany.

The ranking evaluates the study conditions at universities based on student evaluations and records facts about studies and research. The bachelor's program of the Department of Information Systems at the University of Münster achieved top rankings in the areas of general study organization at the beginning of the degree, during the rest of the studies and regarding a semester abroad. In addition, our department received high ratings for its facility and IT equipment as well as for the library. The general study situation and opportunities for career orientation and contact with vocational practice were also well rated.  The Department of Information Systems also holds a top position in the research category "doctorate per professor."

This year, the ranking re-evaluated the subjects of economics and law and surveyed a total of around 120,000 students and 3,000 professors. Experts from the Center for Higher Education Development examined more than 300 universities and universities of applied sciences in Germany. For more than 25 years, the CHE ranking has been the most wide-ranging and detailed comparison of universities in the German-speaking region. The CHE is an independent, non-profit institution that develops proposals for the improvement of the higher education system. The ranking is intended to provide guidance for prospective students when choosing where to study.
