On February 5-6 2018, a Workshop on Simulation of Epidemic Diseases was organized by the Chair of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management in cooperation with the Institute of Molecular Virology of the University of Münster in order to introduce the newly released Platform for Simulation of Epidemics.

This platform was developed to enable investigation of the spreading behavior of different diseases. It combines code free modeling and visual analytics to increase usability and support data exploration in an intuitive way.

Within the hands-on workshop, professors and researchers from different universities and research centers from Germany had the opportunity to learn how to use the platform to create individual models, sharing research expertise and networking. The information and feedback gathered during the workshop are being used to improve the developed platform.
