Abstract
To deal with complex and uncertain environments, academics and practitioners suggest the integration of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) with Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM). However, literature lacks in providing guidance on how such an integration can be operationalized and how the S&OP process needs to be adjusted accordingly. In this paper, it is investigated how four common SCRM activities (risk identification, assessment, treatment, and monitoring) can be integrated into the S&OP process. The research embraces the conduction of both a literature review and expert interviews. As a result, four propositions are offered on how the integration can be realized.
