Im Sommer 2026 bietet das Design Thinking Seminar in Kooperation mit der Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Georgia (USA) die Möglichkeit, Innovation, Kreativität und interkulturelles Lernen zu verbinden. Studierende aus Deutschland und den USA arbeiten gemeinsam an realen Herausforderungen und entwickeln kreative Lösungen mithilfe der Design-Thinking-Methodik. Neben der gemeinsamen Projektarbeit sind auch kulturelle Aktivitäten geplant, zum Beispiel ein Besuch eines Baseballspiels in Atlanta. 

Das Seminar ist Teil des Sommersemesters 2026 und umfasst neben der Reise in die USA auch virtuelle Teamarbeit während des Semesters. Teilnehmen können Bachelorstudierende der Wirtschaftsinformatik, die bis zum Zeitpunkt der Bewerbung ihr erstes Studienjahr abgeschlossen haben. Vorkenntnisse im Design Thinking sind nicht erforderlich. 

Die Teilnahme wird durch das Erasmus + Programm gefördert, das wesentliche Kosten wie Flug, Unterkunft und Transport in Höhe von rund 2.000 Euro pro Person abdeckt.

Design Thinking Seminar in the USA – Apply Now!  

In summer 2026, the Design Thinking Seminar in collaboration with Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Georgia (USA) offers an opportunity to combine innovation, creativity, and intercultural learning. Students from Germany and the United States will work together on real-world challenges and develop creative solutions using the Design Thinking methodology. Alongside the project work, cultural activities are planned, such as attending a baseball game in Atlanta. 

The seminar is part of the summer term 2026 and includes both the trip to the United States and virtual teamwork during the semester. Participation is open to Bachelor students of Information Systems who have completed their first year of studies by the time of application. No prior experience in Design Thinking is required. 

Participation is supported through the Erasmus+ program, which covers essential costs such as flights, accommodation, and transportation – amounting to around 2,000 euros per student.
