IMMIDD Inaugural Symposium: "From Chaos to Cohesion - The Future of Infectious Disease Modeling"

On July 10, 2025, the Interdisciplinary Center for Mathematical Modeling of Infectious Disease Dynamics (IMMIDD) will host an inaugural symposium, to kick-off collaborations across multiple scientific disciplines at University of Münster and beyond.
Through scientific talks from international speakers and panel discussions, we will discuss the role of infectious disease modeling in the COVID-19 pandemic and how collaboration across scientific disciplines will help us understand the past and prepare for the future.
The program will include scientific talks, panel discussions and networking opportunities.
Invited speakers are:
- Mirjam Kretzschmar (UMC Utrecht)
Title: "Challenges for modelling interventions for future pandemics" - Niel Hens (Hasselt University)
Title: "Understanding who drives transmission using the next generation approach" - Richard Boucherie (University of Twente)
Title: (To be announced) - Michael Meyer-Hermann (Helmholtz Zentrum für Infektionsforschung)
Title: "Intra-host influenza infection dynamics and treatment"
Please sign-up before June 15. Online participation is possible, please specify this when signing up.
