An Inclusive Job Matching Ontology for People with Disabilities

Dienstag, 13. Januar 2026 - 12:30 bis 13:30, Leo 18

Speaker: Luotong Cheng

Abstract: This research aims to develop a domain reference ontology for job matching of people with disabilities. It is designed to support interoperability, knowledge sharing, and explainability across domains such as inclusive recruitment, vocational rehabilitation, and workplace accommodations. The ontology is grounded in domain-relevant social science theories, including person–environment fit and the interactional model of disability. It is built upon the Unified Foundational Ontology (UFO) to provide semantic rigor, ontological consistency, and conceptual clarity in modelling the key entities and relations involved in job matching for people with disabilities. The presentation will illustrate the domain conceptualization based on OntoUML. Ultimately, this research contributes to the development of explainable job matching systems that promote sustainable and inclusive employment for persons with disabilities.
