Application/Admission Bachelor of Science in Information Systems

Admission requirements


To apply for the bachelor's degree program in Information Systems at the University of Münster, you only need to have a university entrance qualification (i.e. the general matriculation standard/Abitur/A Levels, subject-related entrance qualification or a qualification that is deemed to be equivalent). Completing a commercial apprenticeship or internship before your course of study is not mandatory. 


Desirable qualifications include an interest in information technology and business interrelationships, as well as basic PC and Office skills. You should also have a good knowledge of German, English and mathematics. Previous programming experience is not required.


The Bachelor of Information Systems is an admissions-restricted program. There is a fixed number of places for each admission restricted program at the university.  An overview of the selection limits for other semesters can be found here.


Please note: The NC of a previous year is not indicative of the NC of your application round. The NC always depends on the field of applicants and can therefore be different for each admission round.
