What do you do? 

I’m currently working as an “Agile Coach”. What does that mean? I help around 90 people to think and work using the “agile” method, rather than the “waterfall” method as they have been for the last 10 years. 

How did your studies prepare you for this work? 

I learned the SCRUM process as part of my studies – I’d experienced and tested it live as part of our project seminar. Without that experience I couldn’t possibly coach others now. Another key insight I took from the course – and this is one of the things that were most helpful – was to always focus on structure. And last but not least, the business expertise, the SAP expertise of SAP certification, thinking in data models, EPCs and so much more … all that is really useful every day in my work at the company! 

What advice would you give to our current students? 

With an eye to entering the job market, I’d really recommend doing a lot of internships during your course. That makes it much easier to enter the job market and will also allow you to choose companies that you actually want to work for. Methods are great – but you also have to be able to apply them to specific content!
