Are you interested in Sharing Economy and the way modern sharing platforms such as Airbnb create trust in both the platform and the offerings that the platform provides?

When you look at modern sharing platforms like Airbnb, BlaBlaCar and many other services where private people share their resources among each other, one thing is apparent. There are many instruments used on the platforms that aim at creating trust. One simple example is rating functionalities. However, the modern platforms go far beyond simple ratings.

The aim of the thesis is to explore the landscape of these various trust building instruments by looking on an existing sample of popular platforms and to find ways to evaluate the effectiveness of these instruments.
