The bachelor thesis defines types of digitalisation projects, mainly drawing from published project reports of corporations, by classifying them. This aids in the definition of best practices that help organisations succeeded in overcoming the challenges and seizing the opportunities of the digital transformation. To achieve this goal, an empirical to conceptual taxonomy development as laid out by Nickerson et al. (2013) is performed: the projects included in the project reports are defined by attributes, then clustered following Chef (2019), and finally, the resulting clusters are described by their attribute values. The resulting classification is validated against existing classification methods.
