Abstract
Disaster relief is not only a challenge for humanitarian organisations, but a global one for politics, economies, and societies worldwide. With this book, almost 50 experts from industry, humanitarian organisations and research institutions contribute their knowledge in this highly relevantfield. The book includes the latest results from BVL International's Humanitarian Logistics Council (part 1),a working group that discussed the most important topics of humanitarian supply chains and logistics, chapters on humanitarian and commercial communities of practice (part 2), training and education (part 3) and research in humanitarian logistics (part 4).
