AI at Work: Intelligent Personal Assistants in Work Practices for Process Innovation
Abstract
This paper explores the role of AI on fostering process innovation and improving workflows. Utilizing the Task-Technology Fit (TTF) theory as a foundation, the research analyzes the integration and adaptation of Intelligent Personal Assistants (IPAs) within organizational workflows. Through an interview study with twelve participants and the creation of a framework, deep insight into workflow integration of IPAs , their adaptability as well as limitations are discovered and their interactions are shown in a framework. The framework consist
of six dimensions as well as an adoption drivers. Further research opportunities are identified in the areas of intelligent workflow integration as well as ethical AI.
