Women+ in Information Systems is a new initiative at the University of Münster dedicated to empowering female students in Information Systems (IS) and fostering a strong sense of community from the very start of their studies. Whether you’re just starting your Bachelor’s, pursuing your Master’s, or continuing your academic journey, our goal is to make your time in IS more connected, supportive, and inspiring. We aim to create spaces where friendships can grow, ideas can develop, and future paths can take shape together.

We had our first informal get-together "Nourishing Minds & Hearts #1 – Meet Your Female Faculty!", in November 2025, complete with drinks and food. Students met their female faculty and fellow classmates, shared why they chose Information Systems, talked about their expectations for the program, and got to know each other in a relaxed setting.

We celebrated the end of the year at "Nourishing Minds & Hearts #2 – Christmas Market Edition" with festive drinks and food at the Christmas Market. Students caught up with their female faculty and peers, shared how their semester had been, and brainstormed ideas on how to make Information Systems more inclusive at our university.
