Women+ in Information Systems

Women+ in Information Systems is a new initiative at the University of Münster dedicated to empowering female students in Information Systems (IS) and fostering a strong sense of community from the very start of their studies. Whether you’re just starting your Bachelor’s, pursuing your Master’s, or continuing your academic journey, our goal is to make your time in IS more connected, supportive, and inspiring. We aim to create spaces where friendships can grow, ideas can develop, and future paths can take shape together.

Through Women+ in Information Systems, you will find opportunities to meet fellow students, exchange experiences, and build networks that help you navigate both academic and personal challenges with confidence. Our activities include informal gatherings like coffee meetups and pizza evenings, inspiring panel discussions with women from academia and industry, and skill-building workshops on topics such as communication and confidence.

The initiative is open to everyone who wants to contribute to a more diverse and inclusive IS community. We believe real progress toward gender diversity can only happen when peers of all genders are involved and all voices are heard.

Whether you are just beginning your studies or already further along, we warmly invite you to join us, get involved, and help shape the future of Information Systems together.
