Search tips
The system makes no distinction between capitalised and uncapitalised letters. It doesn’t matter whether you search for computer, COMPUTER or Computer. Words containing umlauts can be entered in one of two ways: you can search for Münster or Muenster. The question mark (?) can be used as a truncation character. Searching for bib? will find the words Bibliothek, Bibliotheken, Bibliography, etc. Searching for ?ology will find the words psychology, biology, geology, etc. Searching for sp?etti will find the words Spagetti and Spaghetti.
Tip
To search the Department Library, please always use this search. The “Standard Search” on the HBZ webpages searches all libraries in NRW.
