Autonomie im Kontext von IT Consumerization - Eine experimentelle Analyse der Auswirkungen auf Mitarbeiter

IT Consumerization is changing the way employees think about and use technologies for work purposes. More and more individuals are starting to challenge existing systems and want more freedom to decide on their own which tools to use for their work. For companies, this requires the rethinking of existing structures. Should the organization grant employees more freedom and autonomy to choose their own devices and software? While there are many discussions around this topic, a scientific evaluation of this question has not yet been conducted. This thesis tries to close this gap by conducting (psychological) experiments to discover effects of IT autonomy on employees. Do they get more productive? Are they more satisfied? These questions lie in the core of the topic.
