As announced, the presentation of the (project) seminar modules will take place on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. (sharp). We will begin at 6 p.m. with the presentation of the seminars. At 7 p.m., we will continue with the project seminars. I will start each section with a general information block.

The following interactive Hedge-Doc Pad already contains information about the seminars and project seminars for the coming semester. Please use the Pad to find out more about what is on offer and to ask questions. Please note that the document is currently still being edited and information may be added. Of course, the pad will remain open after the presentation date (for questions). However, the time slots for questions on the presentation evening itself are very limited.

As usual, we are already starting to plan for the coming semester and so in July we will be presenting the elective modules for the winter semester 2026/27. 

The Master's modules will be presented via Zoom on Wednesday, July 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (s.t.). As always, the application phase for the seminars and project seminars will start after the event. Information on this will also be provided during the presentation date.

Dear students,

Applications are now open for our international seminar “Digital Entrepreneurs as Leaders in a Global Society”, which we offer in cooperation with the Hasso-Plattner Institute (HPI).

The 6-ECTS seminar combines leadership and entrepreneurship theory, personal reflection, and direct exposure to the global environments in which digital ventures are built and scaled.

A special highlight of the course is participation in the German-American Conference (GAC) at Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, USA from 9–11 October 2026. Alongside the conference, students will explore the Cambridge innovation ecosystem and engage with leaders from business, academia, politics, and entrepreneurship.

Previous GAC speakers included:

• Wendy Sherman (Former Deputy Secretary of State)

• Ursula von der Leyen (President of the European Commission)

• David Sanger (The New York Times)

• Hazel Brugger (Comedian and Writer)

• Carsten Maschmeyer (Entrepreneur, Investor, and Author)

• Students (BSc & MSc) of the University of Münster Business School (FB4)

• Students of the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI)

To plan elective courses in Winter term 2026/27, a preliminary survey is conducted.

An application phase will follow during the last two weeks of lecture time and will be announced separately in the Coordinator's Blog.

Especially,  we ask about your interest in a start-up project seminar, as announced by a separate  feed.

Note that participation in this survey is a neccessary condition. That means: if during application phase a larger number of applications shows up compared to the numbers given by this survey and, due to this underestimation of capacity there are too few places in offered seminars/project seminars,  then students with an application but without participation in the survey risk to be disregarded. On the other side during application phase, applications of students who have participated in this survey will usually be considered.

A word to Bachelor students who change to the Master-programm next semester (and might have the course IS-MSc-Coord, to see information concerning Master studies): Assignments to seminars and project seminars taking part in your first Master semester will not be possible in general. There are plenty of lectures intended, e.g. for the first semester, hence there is no need for a seminar/project seminar during your 1st Master semester.
