Our Department’s PhD programme is an opportunity to prove your ability to conduct independent academic research. Most students starting a doctorate do so after having completed a Master or Diplom course. When you have completed your PhD, you will receive a doctorate in Economics. 

There are a number of options with regard to undertaking a doctorate degree at the Department of Information Systems at Münster University: 

• Research assistant at one of the professorships. For information about open positions, which often come under current research projects, please see our job board or inquire directly with the professorships. 

• Doctoral candidate within the framework of the “Trust and Communication in a Digitised World” Research Training Group. 

• Doctoral candidate within the framework of the structured PhD programme.
