Offline-Lokalisierungstechniken für Smartphones
Smartphones are able to receive various types of signals (e.g., GPS, Wi-Fi, GSM, NFC, Bluetooth), which can be used to determine the phone’s location, while each localization technique comes with a specific cost (e.g., money, battery drain, storage). The purpose of this thesis is to survey existing localization techniques that neither require Internet connectivity nor rely on GPS signals. An emphasis should be put on approaches that use open databases with positions of GSM cells or Wi-Fi routers. The result of the thesis may include a prototypical implementation of a selected localization technique.
