Digitalization has fundamentally transformed the business world throughout the last decade, putting into question much traditional IT/IS strategy wisdom. This theses can build on prior work on the concept and contents of IT/IS strategies to challenge them with new demands resulting from digitalization. These may include, among others:

• Big Data, Datafication and Information Resource Strategy
• Out-/Cloudsourcing
• Cyberthreats
• Interorganizational Platforms and Infrastructures (e.g. of digital ecologies)

The book "IT strategies in academia and practice" published 2019 by Kohlhammer publishing and the paper "Understanding information systems strategy in the digital age" included in December issue of of the Journal of Strategic Information Systems in 2020 may serve as a starting point for this thesis.
