E-Commerce has become a dominant way of retailing in the past several years and this trend will only increase even more. Retailers without an online concept are losing market share to their competitors. There is, however, not the one e-commerce concept that suits every kind of retailer but several different approaches to it. Especially retailers’ cooperatives as well as small and medium sized retailers are struggling to find the right strategy for their businesses.
In this thesis, you should analyze different e-commerce concepts and develop criteria to help retailers in their decision for an e-commerce strategy. This could be done by using scientific literature, evaluating existing web-shops and through expert interviews.
