In this newly created position, you will report to Director Remote Operations Center  and will contribute to the growth, operation & care of Voith’s Digital and Automation services

As an Automation Expert for shopfloor IT and network infrastructure (m/f/d), your key responsibilities are to:

• Responsible for setup and implementation of process automation infrastructure within the global delivery of Voith Papers automation systems for paper industry
• Consultancy and support of customers, global commissioning, and service teams in context of the subject “Industrial Networks” as a subject matter expert.
• Lifecycle care of customer system infrastructure
• Provide and deploy patches and upgrades for the global installed base
• Definition of concepts (architecture, implementation, security and lifecycle) under consideration of current standards of OT network security
• Definition of guidelines and best practices for involved departments
• Close integration to global engineering and operations as well as interface to R&D department

As an Industrial Network Specialist (m/f/d), you will need:

• 3+ years of experience in area of industrial networks.
• Engineer or technician in automation, computer science, a related discipline
• A sound knowledge about network technologies, network topologies and network hardware.
• Knowledge about industrial automation and network environments.
• Exposure to common network management and monitoring tools.
• Demonstrated expertise and understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite
• IEC 62443 is not a foreign topic.
• Familiar with the network firewall distribution OPNSense
• Open minded to new ideas and concepts with a healthy “can do attitude”
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
