Objectives

The lecture concentrates on interorganizational systems and business networks, aiming to explore the contingencies and strategies that lie behind the evolution of IOS, networking and new e-commerce business cases.

Drawing on case examples as well as theoretical concepts, the configuration and management of networks as well as the design and implications of IOS will be discussed from various perspectives, such as strategic management, organization theory, information management and IS development.

Exam

There will be one written exam (90 min.) during the course of the semester.

The lecture is accompanied by an exercise, which will be conducted by groups of students. In order to compose these groups, all students are asked to be present at the first session. The participation in these exercises is mandatory. Further details will then be provided.
