Modelling time tomorrow and presentation

Hi everybody,
concerning your modelling time tomorrow: This will not take place in the lecture hall - you can do it on your own and whereever you like!
Concerning the presentation: Please take two or three slides to give us a short overview of your business. Which are your core competencies, how does the structure of you company look like etc. We don't want you to cover all of this lateron during workflow development and implementation, it's just to help us (and the others) "understand your business". Think of it like an advertisement: Your company is cool and future oriented because it is going to use a workflow management system to support company spanning business processes.
The epc and bpmn business processes you're going to model - or are already modelling - and that you are going to present to us, are then just an excerpt of all business processes of the company, focussing on the core processes for cooperating with your partner: Exchanging requirements, offerings, CVs (for VBIG or VPLACM) or graphics (ISS / Pinkblob).

Exercises

Beschreibung

Related to the topics presented in the lectures, students will deal with a case study in group work. In a given business-to-business scenario a company-wide and workflow-supported business process should be designed and implemented. Based on modeling the as-is state of business processes to-be definitions of workflows will be derived. In an second step the workflow definitions will be implemented with the workflow management system Sungard Infinity Process Engine. Each company is represented by a group of students. In terms of the business-to-business scenario respectively two groups are working together. At the end of the exercise every pair of groups should be able to simulate a continuous and company-wide workflow by connecting the different workflow management systems.
